I guess I should start this post of where I have been for the past month.
I have been working at a camp in the lovely Carolina mountains for the past five weeks (five more weeks to go). It is a student ministry camp that is completely gospel centered and completely wrecking my life.
I am on the servant team, which means I serve meals, clean, and do continuous work projects that have humbled me and put the a picture of laboring for the gospel in a completely new lens.
The community here is one of a kind that has made my personal pursuit of Christ come alive in a way that has me seeing and lavishing in his goodness and beauty with every passing rainstorm and mountain top and drifting river.
Whether I am rushing to and from the kitchen during mealtime or making mud for the weekly Rev skit I am beginning to see the beauty in serving with a thankful spirit and joy that comes with it.
Don't get me wrong, there are tough days that have me sleep deprived or caught up in a mundane routine of tasks but God has never left my side those days and he never will in the days to come.
It is truly beautiful to see lives changed for the hope that is to come in Christ Jesus and even more beautiful to see those lives put forth to make his glory known.
I hope to post again real soon but the business of my life at the moment rarely leaves me with a free moment. I hope all of your summers are going lovely and are full of laughter, sweet memories, and many nights spent watching old time-y movies.
Until next time.

Tara, I love you and your soul and your adventurous heart! xoxo see you tomorrow!!!
